Any idea if this is similar to “Barry’s Best Hookup Wire” that guitarPCB sells?

Yes, it is definitely similar. They are both tinned stranded copper wire with PVC insulation. The hookup wire we carry, as mentioned in this post, is 20AWG instead of 24AWG, so it’s actually a little better since it’s a heavier/larger gauge wire. It will be slightly larger in diameter, but not enough to make a noticeable difference. Our prices (at the time of writing this) are also more favorable and our wire comes on a plastic spool for easy storage.
Beyond that, I am uncertain of what makes “Barry’s Best Hookup Wire” the best other than one’s own opinion and experience with a inferior wire. I hope that helps.

Love it! I’m a fan of the wire on GuitarPCB.com but a little thicker gauge will be great plus you can’t beat 50 ft. for $4 and the fact it comes on a spool is pretty awesome. Excited to order from you!
